CFP Finisher Comes Back as a 6-max Coach!

Alfredo finished his Coaching for Profits contract in July and now he is back to our team, now as a coach!

We are really happy to have him on board, is always nice when a former student comes back as a coach!

We had an interview with him to check how things are going in his life:

How is everything going in your life? What have you been doing?

I’m very happy with my life now.

I moved to Algarve, in the south of Portugal (where the weather is warmer and I can go to the beach every day).

My plan is to stay here until the end of the year, then I want to start a world trip for 2 years, starting in Florianópolis, Brazil.

That looks like an amazing place to live!

What about poker? How are your results after finishing your CFP contract?

Poker is doing great, that’s why my life is great as well! I have to say, my results are better than expected.

My best month was almost €6k right after finishing the program and playing between vacations. And there was no rakeback in that month because it was right after PokerStars.pt change its rakeback system.

That is a nice red line!

How did BPC help achieve such results?

Well, I still follow most of the standard lines and I know now clearly what I have to do to make money at the tables. All thanks to BPC!

That’s why I like the idea of being a coach here, to give something back and help others achieve the same I achieved.

What was the best part of being a Coaching for Profits student in the NL 6-max program?

The best part was being part of this community, no doubt. Also the change in my mindset which is also really important!

Who was your favorite coach when you were a student?

Two of the coaches had a major influence on me, but all had an impact, big or small.

Alex “Lateralus” and Alan Jackson are the ones.

Alex really helped me to cut the bullshit and master the basics. Alan, on the other hand, just takes your game to the next level. At least for me. He gives you the proof of everything you need to make money. And that’s what I care about…

What is your experience coaching? For how long have you been doing it?

None. I never coached anyone. I have experience working with other people and teaching them but it was outsider poker. It’s going to be a good challenge!

How are you feeling about starting coaching the NL 6-max students?

I’m eager to start! It’s a thing I always wanted to do and now I have the chance. Guess what? I’m not going to waste it!

What do you think you have to offer them?

My experience on BPC, proved by my results. No bullshit, BPC style.

If you give one advice to all the other players, what would that be?

Focus! It’s very important to be focused while you’re playing. You’ll see the difference on your results for sure.

What are your plans for poker in general? For short and long-term?

I want to climb up the stakes as far as it gets on 6-max cash games and after that, start playing some live MTT’s.

Thank you very much for the interview, Alfredo! Welcome to our team!
